Stamatis Farantopoulos (born in 27/06/1996) is a guitarist from Greece stated in Rotterdam. He got his intergraded Master's degree in Jazz Performance in the Music Department of the Ionian University, in Corfu and currently finishing his second master in Latin guitar in Codarts University, Rotterdam. In 2018, he received an Erasmus+ scholarship to study in HKU University of Arts in the Netherlands. He has attended numerous masterclasses with some of the greatest artists of the jazz scene including Jonathan Kreisberg, Gilad Hekselman, Martjin van Interson, Jean Michel Pilc, Eric Ineke to name a few. Stamatis has a noticeable presence in the jazz scene of Greece and Netherlands playing with his band and participating in various projects as a sideman.
