Prices
Students under 21 benefit from a legally established VAT rate of 0%.
- € 30,- per 30 min.

Students aged 21 and over are subject to a legally established VAT rate of 21%.

General Terms and Conditions — Seasonal Plan
2025-2026
I. Enrollment and Cancellation
- a) Lessons can be started at any time of the year.
- b) You enroll for a full school year.
- c) There may be various reasons to (temporarily) stop music lessons and we prefer to communicate about this as openly as possible. If your time slot cannot be immediately taken over by someone else, we apply a notice period of 3 months from the moment of cancellation.
II. Illness / Absence
- a) If you are sick, please notify your teacher at least 24 hours in advance. Our teachers are flexible and will do their best to schedule a make-up lesson in isolated cases, provided this is logistically possible. When this is not possible, the lesson will be charged.
- b) In case of illness or absence of the teacher, the lesson will be made up, provided this is logistically possible. When this is not possible, the lesson fee will be refunded to you.
- c) If a student arrives late to the lesson, the end time cannot be shifted. If the teacher arrives late, the end time will shift accordingly.
III. Holidays and Public Holidays
- a) No lessons take place during school holidays.
- b) No lessons are given on public holidays, unless otherwise agreed upon.
- c) School holidays can serve as a make-up period for previously cancelled lessons.
IV. Tuition and Payments

- b) You can pay a fixed amount per quarter (9 lessons) or per month (3 lessons). Invoicing starts on 15 August and is sent to you every (three) month(s) on the 15th of the month.
V. Make-up Weeks
- a) Teachers at Music on the Block are sometimes on tour or sick for a period. For this reason, we work with a 36-lesson schedule plus 3 make-up weeks at the end of the year. Missed lessons by the teacher are automatically placed in those make-up weeks.
XVI. Validity of General Terms and Conditions
- a) At the start of the school year, the client is informed in writing about the general terms and conditions. The general terms and conditions are also always included with the invoice.
- b) These general terms and conditions take effect upon taking the 1st lesson or upon payment of the 1st installment invoice.
- c) The client bears their own responsibility to stay informed about these terms.
General Terms and Conditions — Flex Plan
2025-2026
I. Enrollment and Cancellation
- a) Lessons can be started at any time of the year.
- b) At registration you purchase 5 lessons, which you may use flexibly during this season.
- c) In case of cancellation, lessons will not be refunded.
II. Lesson times
- a) No fixed day or time; lessons are by appointment.
- b) If a student arrives late for a lesson, the end time cannot be shifted. If the teacher is late, the end time will shift accordingly.
III. Tuition and payments
- a) Lesson prices are listed on the website and in the table below and are fixed for the entire school year: musicontheblock.nl/pricing/
- b) Payment for lessons is due at the start of a series of lessons and must be paid in advance.
- c) When the series of lessons has been given, a new series of lessons will start after consultation.
IV. Illness / Absence
- a) If the student is sick or unable to attend, lessons are paid. These lessons can be made up only if this fits the teacher's schedule. Absence must be reported 24 hours in advance.
- b) If the teacher is sick or unable to teach, this lesson does not have to be paid. These lessons can also be made up only if this fits the teacher's schedule. If no make-up is possible, the owed amount will be offset on the next invoice.

V. Holidays and Public Holidays
- a) No lessons take place during school holidays, unless otherwise agreed.
